News, tips, announcements, and special offers from TamoSoft Ltd.
Announcing CommView 7.0We are pleased to announce that we have released a new version of CommView, a software tool for capturing and analyzing network traffic at the packet level. For those of you who are more familiar with the wireless edition, CommView for WiFi, CommView is a packet-capture tool that allows you to monitor all of the packets that leave or enter your computer through the network adapter. Additionally, CommView can be used to monitor the entire LAN segment in promiscuous mode when the network adapter is connected to the mirror port of a LAN switch. You can also use CommView to monitor your laptop¡¯s wireless connection, in which case you¡¯ll be able to see your computer¡¯s data traffic.
So, without further ado¡¦ What's New in Version 7.0:In fact, we¡¯ve added only one—but very important—feature: CommView 7.0 can now decrypt local SSL- and TLS-encrypted traffic on the fly. A traditional packet-capture tool is useless when you need to inspect the
contents of an encrypted session, be it your browser downloading a webpage or some application that contacts an unknown server for an obscure reason. Today, virtually all network traffic is encrypted. CommView 7.0 is a game-changer: It intercepts SSL and TLS traffic and displays the contents as if you were capturing an unencrypted TCP session.
If you want 100% traffic visibility, just download the new CommView version today. CommView runs on Windows 7, 8, 8.1, and 10.
Please don't hesitate to contact us with any questions or comments.
Best regards,
The TamoSoft Team
