We've just released WebUI Studio 2012 last month. Many thanks to our loyal customers for keep supporting us all this time through continuous product feedback and support. In case you missed the news, this new release offers several new data-aware controls available in Silverlight and WPF such as Pageable ComboBox and TreeList, including many enhancements to all ClientUI controls. For the ASP.NET line up, we've supercharged our flagship WebGrid Enterprise and WebCombo to fully support HTML5 and CSS3.

We've also added new reference samples inspired from Line-of-Business cases which will help you to create large-scale application with blazing fast performance. Check out the complete blog post here.

WebUI Studio for Silverlight and WPF Highlights

The latest ClientUI 7 focuses on a wide array of data controls for Silverlight and WPF development. The major new controls are UXPageableComboBox, UXMultipleSelectionComboBox, and UXTreeList. Also in this release, UXGridView gets a wide range of new and advanced features.

UXPageableComboBox is an advanced data combobox control for Silverlight and WPF featuring highly efficient data retrieval mechanism and smart data filtering capability. Designed specifically for line-of-business applications, UXPageableComboBox is perfect for data-entry scenarios that require real-time response regardless of the datasource size. All powerful features available are included in this control, such as multiple column with MVVM support, advanced data grouping and sorting, high-performance data fetching, auto-complete behavior, and more.

UXMultipleSelectionComboBox is designed with strong ISO standards and accessibility compliance to allow users to capture multiple input in a more intuitive way. It supports both editable and checkbox mode selection. It features smart results filtering, multiple column, data grouping and sorting, auto-complete behavior, and more.

Three New Data Controls

UXTreeList is a powerful data control that combines all the great features in UXTreeView and UXGridView. It is designed to display self-reference hierarchical data with features such as smart data filtering, support data grouping and sorting, collapsible hierarchical data, Load-on-demand data support, and more.

 

WebUI Studio for ASP.NET Highlights

The major releases for ASP.NET is both WebGrid 8 and WebCombo 6 which are featuring full HTML5 and CSS3 support.

WebGrid 8, as the award-winning ASP.NET data grid, now presented in full HTML5 support, which lets you leverage all powerful features that you need the most – from hierarchical layout, self-referencing tree mode, columnset, client binding to pivot charting, smart batch update, column freezing. Coming Next: Visual Studio 2012, Windows 8 and IE 10 Support

Just a month after our first 2012 release, we're getting ready for another release in the next several weeks. The upcoming release will update all existing WebUI Studio components to fully support Visual Studio 2012 which includes all designer extensions, project templates and wizards, and much more. As part of Visual Studio 2012 sim-ship partner, we're committed to ship the update together with the release of Visual Studio 2012.

New ComboBox Controls

More importantly, the next update will include major enhancements on all existing ASP.NET components to fully support Windows 8 and Windows Internet Explorer 10 for both desktop and Metro mode. The enhancements are required due to parsing rules changes and removal of legacy features in IE 10. For details, you can check out the sneak preview here.

 

New Line-of-Business Inspiring Samples.

ClientUI is the the next-generation user interface library to create dynamic and compelling business applications for the Silverlight and WPF platforms. Tips and Trick.

Preserve Horizontal Scroll Position After Postback

Community member Ahmed is trying to preserve horizontal location after a postback on the grid. The trick is that you can save scrollbar position of your WebGrid in InitializeLayout and InitializePostBack events. Check out this thread to get the sample code.
