Get Physical with XAF – Drop and Give Me v10.1!
Gary has donned spandex and sweat bands to bring XAF fans a double-whammy this week. Not only has Gary created another real world example using XAF, but he and the Frameworks development team have also released details of a sneak peek for a new feature you can expect in v2010.1.
Gary's 2010 quest for the body of Adonis continues this week and he's tracking his weight loss with an XAF application. Whoever said developers are gym-o-phobics clearly hadn't met our Frameworks team!
The Typed Application Model will make its début in the v2010.1 release this year. The team are hoping that this will make for a faster, more straightforward application framework with a significant reduction in memory consumption.
So work those fingers and work those wrists, and point your cursor at the links below. Remember to leave us your comments and feedback too.

DevExpress Developer Stories
Adit Software are in the business of creating custom tests and exams of varying complexity using its built in library of question types. The team behind the software, including Denis Sletkov, used DevExpress controls from our VCL product line to create an application that is "functional, good looking, with an iconic interface".
The Software Cavaliers, on the other hand, are in the business of studying! A group of seniors at Bowling Green State University studying Computer Science, the Software Cavaliers were tasked with creating a scheduling application for the not-for-profit entity The Victory Center. The team told us "without DevExpress, our scheduling software would have lacked the finesse and professional feel that The Victory Center deserved".
